Among his selected solo exhibitions are the ones at Sakshi Gallery, Mumbai (2005, 2001), Gallery 7, Mumbai (1997) apart from participation in several significant group shows that include ‘Highlights’, Sakshi Gallery (2005), ’ Iconography in Transient times’ at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi (2004). He has attended residences in Rijksakademie, Amsterdam, Netherlands, in 2002-03.The artist has won several awards including those from the Gujarat State Government, besides the Baroda Fine Arts Society award in 1987. His creations, either oil on canvas or watercolors, reflect his inner concerns that the artist has been grappling with, dealing with the constraints he finds himself caught in as an artist. Sachin Karne lives and works in Baroda.
