Born in 1981, Manohar Rathod studied B.F.A. (Painting) at Sir J. J. School of Arts. The upcoming and talented artist in a short span of time has received critical acclaim and awards that speak for his versatility and skills. Among the awards he has won are The Governor Of Maharashtra Award and Medal (2007); K.K. Hebber Art Foundation Award, Monsoon Show (2006); Silver Medal, Sir J.J. School of Art (2006); Best Painting Award, Art Society Of India (2006); Camlin Art foundation For Best Portrait Award (2006), and Best Painting Award. Sir J.J School of Arts (2003, 2004, 2005). He has featured at Singapore Art Fair (2007); and in shows at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai (2007), and Nehru Center Art Gallery, Mumbai (2005). He has also participated in shows at Lalit Kala Academy (2002); Art Society of India (2003-06); Harmony Show (2004), and Bombay Art Society show (2003-07). This versatile artist is especially proficient at watercolors as testified by the awards like Best watercolor, P.A. Dhond Award (2006); Best Watercolor, Raza Foundation Award, for Tao Art Gallery (2005); Best Watercolor Award, Art Society of India (2003); Best Watercolor Award, S.C.Z.C Nagpur (2002).
