Vibha was born in 1978 in Chandigarh. She completed her B.F.A in Graphics from the Government College of Arts, Chandigarh and her M.F.A in Graphics from the Kala Bhavan, Visa Bharti, Santiniketan. Her art addresses transcultural in the global local specificity. She focuses on the context of displacement, nostalgia, identity, existence construction or deconstruction, the banal cultural condition in, around environment of negotiations in the new constant changing urban atmosphere. Her solo exhibitions include Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi, M.S.U Baroda, Anant Art Gallery, New Delhi, Project 88, Mumbai, Gallery Exhibit 320, New Delhi and Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, North Carolina, USA. Her most recent group exhibitions include Indian Art Circle, Noida, Arezzo Biennial, Italy, The School, New York, Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Missouri and Casa Masaccio, Corso, Italy. Her awards include INLAKS Foundation Fine Arts Award, 2003; National Scholarship from HRD Department, Government of India, 2001 and the Artists Under 30 Years Award from the Chandigarh State Lalit Kala Academy Award in 1998. Her works are part of prominent collections worldwide such as the Casoria Contemporary Art Museum, Italy, the Essl Museum, Austria, The Gut Gasteil, Austria, Saga Art College, Japan and Singapore Art Museum, Singapore.
