Born in Suffern, NY, USA, in 1977, Schandra Singh completed B.F.A. Honors from Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI in 1999 apart from receiving M.F.A Yale University School of Art, New Haven, CT in 2006. The artist’s characters are struggling to manage their inner conflicts and crises by running away from their sense of guilt, fears or responsibilities through various types of leisure activities.
