Hardcover book in a shade of rust with a tan leather covering of the spine and corners. Tipped in with original photographs. It has the title ‘Textile manufacturers and costumes of India by F. Watson’ lettered in gold foil and engraved on the spine.

The book is a detailed documentation of the textile manufactures and the costumes of the people of India, who served as the reporter on the products of India to the secretary of state for India in council. A list of contents marks the extensive research done and recorded on the subject.
