Original red cloth bound with elaborate gold gilt text and illustration on the front cover. Hardcover in modern crimson half morocco, maroon cloth portfolio. The title and a battle scene, along with name of author and publisher, engraved in gold foil on the cover. Leather cover on the spine with title and author lettered in gold.
