Born in Bangalore, Rodwittiya graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda. She received the INLAKS Scholarship in 1982, to study at the Royal College of Art, London. She has held solo exhibitions at the Gallery 678, New York, and the Studio Barbiere, in Venice. She has also participated in the II Biennale of Havana and exhibited with Saffronart in Los Angeles 2001. In 1990, she was conferred the Star Fellowship of the Rockefeller Foundation Asian Cultural Council to work in the USA. In 2004 she was part of the artist residency program at the Fukuoka Museum, Japan. She currently lives and works in Baroda.
