about artist

Born in Chennai in 1973, Krishnaraj completed his masters in Fine Arts from Karnataka Chitra Kala Parishad, Bangalore. His sculptures and installations are explicitly critical of the rapid growth of ecologically unprecedented urban development. He draws parallels between the opposite realities namely that of the rich and the poor. Chonat’s works identify property developments as the primary peril in modern day. One such example of this can be seen in his work ‘Private Sky.’

He lives and works in Bangalore.
