A deftly carved marble table clock, with fine gilt work. The pinnacle of the clock is replete with a candelabra motif finial, with a decorative Sun motif designed as the pendulum, dome finials on the supporting pillars that fulcrum the dial, base plinths casted in brass.

Japy Freres watch manufacturing company was initially started by Frédéric Japy (1749-1812). However only after his sons came onboard he was able to implement his scaled manufacturing vison, the company was officially formed and functioned with a trademark from the year 1806 onward.
