This car belongs to the series II designation that was launched in September 1937. An ideal introduction to pre-war motoring, being simple to maintain and easy to drive. This series predominately had cosmetic updates, they included painted rather than plated radiator surrounds, and disc wheels replaced the previous wire spoke ones, another feature of the presented lot is the sunroof. On the technical front, the car was powered by a 918 cc four-cylinder side-valve engine with three-bearing crankshaft and a single SU carburettor with maximum power of 23.5 bhp. The gearbox came as a three-speed unit with synchromesh on the top two speeds and Lockheed hydraulic brakes were fitted.
