Bose Krishnamachari was born in Kerala and studied at Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. He has held solo exhibitions at the British Council, Mumbai, the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai, and Sakshi Art Gallery, Mumbai, 2003. He has also participated in several group shows including at Gallery Chemould, Mumbai, 1990, `Romor City`, Tokyo, 2001, Saffronart and The Guild Gallery, 2004, and Saffronart and Bodhi Art, Mumbai, Delhi, New York and Singapore, 2005. He has also curated exhibitions, like Double-Enders, featuring 69 Kerala artists at the Jehangir Art Gallery and the Museum Gallery, Mumbai, 2005 and a self fashioned retrospective in Mumbai and Delhi in 2004. He was one of the recipients of the Kerala Lalit Kala Akademi award, and was first runner up for the Bose Pacia Prize for Modern Art, New York, 2001. He lives and works in Mumbai.
