This kind of head ornament is called a ‘Jhilla’ and is usually worn by brides along with the traditional ‘Borla’. These are jeweled side chains worn on the head and are detachable. This particular lot has a peacock motif at the top with blue and red enamel detailing. The entire piece is set in gold with white sapphires and imitation stones along with dangling pearls.
