Amit Lodh
Born in 1986, Amit Lodh is a contemporary artist from Mumbai, India, known for his expertise in printmaking and painting His artistic journey began with printmaking, and he later transitioned into painting, creating narrative works that explore themes of family, personal space, and the emotional intricacies of life's various phases Each of Lodh’s pieces contributes to an ongoing story, drawing inspiration from mass culture to create interconnected yet distinct artworks
Lodh's meticulous approach to design and his sensitivity to surface texture add depth to his narratives, often employing layering techniques to enhance complexity He holds an MVA in Printmaking from MS University of Baroda, Gujarat (2012), and a BFA in Painting from Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh (2008)
His work has been showcased internationally, including in Dubai and Korea, and in prominent Indian exhibitions such as Vishwarang, Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal (2022), and The Art of India, Time Art Fest (2022) Lodh has also participated in significant artist camps like the National Lalit Kala Camp in Delhi (2017) and has been honoured with awards, including the Lokmanya Tilak VV Oak Award, Pune (2008)
Currently residing in Mumbai, Lodh continues to develop his narrative-driven art, reflecting the complex interplay between individual experience and broader cultural narratives
