Anju Dodiya was born in Mumbai and graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts from Sir J J School of Art, Mumbai, in 1986 She has had solo exhibitions at Gallery Chemould, Mumbai in 1991, 1996, and 1999; Max Mueller Bhavan, Mumbai, 1999, and Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi, 2001 He has also participated in many group shows including ones at Gallery Chemould, Mumbai, 2000, Sakshi Gallery, Mumbai, 2000, Lakeeren Gallery, Mumbai, 2000, National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai 2000, ARS 01, Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki, Finland, and Sakshi Gallery, Mumbai, 2004 The artist currently lives and works in Mumbai
