B Srinivas Reddy, also known as Professor Bolla Srinivas Reddy, born in 1964 in Suryapet, Telangana, is a multifaceted Indian artist, sculptor, painter, and educator. He grew up in an agrarian family with limited resources and went on to earn his graduation in sculpture with a Gold Medal. He completed his post-graduation at M S University, Baroda, and is currently the Principal of the College of Fine Arts at Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University in Hyderabad.

B Srinivas Reddy's artistic practice is characterized by a versatile command of multiple media, including terracotta, fiberglass, bronze, stone, painting, and drawing. His sculptures are often adorned with vibrant painted colors and intricate engravings, blending clean geometric lines with surreal, dreamy markings. Thematically, much of his work revolves around the human head, which he uses as a symbolic representation of the mind and identity, featuring glimpses of mundane human life and symbolic allusions.

A central concept in B Srinivas Reddy's recent work is Swayambhu, which he describes as the Genesis of a creative impulse. For him, Swayambhu embodies existence itself, the self-manifestation of the omnipresent Brahman, and the birth of a creative force. He has explored this concept through drawings, sculptures, and paintings over time, consistently featuring the motif of the womb or egg. His monumental egg-shaped heads, often gazing skyward, symbolize the inception of the core of the world and contemplation of merging into the world itself.

Reddy has received significant recognition for his contributions to Indian art. He was awarded the National Award by the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, and the Prathibha Award by the Government of Telangana. His works have been featured in various group exhibitions across India and abroad, including shows in the UK, Yugoslavia, Germany, Cuba, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad, as well as solo exhibitions in Mumbai and Hyderabad. Beyond his studio practice, he has contributed to the beautification of Greater Hyderabad through public art installations.
