Based in Trivandrum, Kerala, and born in 1960, Babu Xavier did not aspire to become an artist Eventually he did realize that he could and wanted to become an artist, he rejected the prospect of learning art through academic training, and thus decided to work under artist Jayapal Panicker His works are prismatic brush strokes of bright reds, yellows, greens and blues with close to human figures saturating the canvases with contradiction Some of his important works are ‘Ele:Series’ and ‘Christ Series’
