Brat is a contemporary French urban pop artist and sculptor whose visual practice explores the tensions between pop culture, societal absurdity, and existential transformation.

Born in Paris in 1968, Brat initially pursued filmmaking and worked in the cinematic industry before pivoting to fine art. As a self-taught artist, his background in directing heavily informs his approach to visual staging, composition, and visual storytelling. Drawing inspiration from cinema, street culture, comics, and graphic design, he constructs an offbeat reality that reflects the rapid shifts and contradictions of contemporary society.

Working across mediums including aerosol, stencil, acrylic, cut aluminum plates, and salvaged wood, Brat layers industrial materials to give tactile weight to his imagery. His work frequently pairs playful humor with sharp social critique.
