Dilip was born in 1978 in Udaipur, Rajasthan He completed his BFA in sculpture in 2002 from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda and then his MFA in 2004 His art comments on the void between the being and the absence of a third dimension He combines light and drawing while working on relief, graphite animations and installations to achieve the effects of a set design His works border on the surrealist realm, infusing his works with Fantasy Realism He held his first solo show in 2010 at the Anant Art Gallery, New Delhi He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions such as Ethereal, curated by Dr Amin Jaffer in New York as well as Paradox and 1x1 Gallery in Singapore He has participated in several shows within India as well as art camps such as the Reliance Art Camp, Mumbai in 2012 and the RPG Camp in 2007 He has recently worked on projects for the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai in 2013
