A postwar and contemporary artist Golam Rabbani was born in the year 1969 at Maymanshing, Bangladesh He got his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka in 1989 He got his Master’s in Fine Arts from the same university in the year 1991 His first ever works to be sold at an auction were a set of 2 works: Old man 1 and 2 in the year 2013 He was honoured with an award during the United Nations Young Artist Competition and Exhibition in 1990 In that same year, he also received the best award for his Oil painting experimental work in an annual exhibition organised by the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka He currently acts as an assistant professor at the Shanto Mariam University of Creative Technology in Dhaka
