Hit Man Gurung was born in the year 1986 in Nepal’s Lamjung district He completed his MFA from Tribhuwan University’s Central Department of Fine Arts in 2012 Gurung was selected and exhibited his works during the 2017 Kathmandu Triennale, as well as was part of the first Yinchuan Biennial in the year 2016, which was hosted by the Yinchuan Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Yinchuan in China He was also the featured artist at Moesgaard Museum of Denmark in 2016 In addition, his work was exhibited as part of ‘Afterwork’ at Para Site Art Center, Hong Kong Gurung was also selected for the 8th Asia Pacific Triennale of Contemporary Art which took place in Brisbane, Australia He was represented by the Nepal Art Council, Nepal and Blueprint12 Gallery in India during the course of the India Art Fair in 2016 Gurung’s work was exhibited as part of ‘Mining Warm Data’, curated by Diana Campbell Betancourt at the Dhaka Art Summit in 2016 His works were exhibited in ‘India Art Fair’, Gallery Latitude 28 booth in 2018; ‘Dissenus’ at Bikaner House, New Delhi and ‘Dissenus II’ at Punjab Lalit Kala Academy, Chandigarh presented by Gallery Latitude 28 in 2017 Gurung is a co-founder of the artist collective, Artree Nepal
