KK Raghava was born in 1980 in Bangalore He is a multi-disciplinary artist, working in genres as contrasting as painting, film, installation, multimedia, and performance He began his career as a cartoonist in 1997 working with leading Indian publications His work conceptually grapples with the construct of identity, gender, and sexuality, and the absence of interpersonal context in today's world of online identity performance He is known as a pioneer in the participatory art field The newly emerged participatory art comprises diverse media such as touch screens and EFG headsets It calculates the electrical flux of the brain via a series of sensors on a wearer’s scalp His ‘Mona Lisa 20’ artwork adjusts its moods and emotion as per the viewer 
 
K K Raghava’s paintings get salvaged by animated superheroes; his love for cartoons goes a long way back considering he started his career as a newspaper cartoonist Raghava has created a spectacular sense of depth and flight perspective in this artwork Unconventional in his artistic approach, he endeavours to entice the viewer's mind by creating rippling brainwaves
 
He often collaborates with other artists, including Erykah Badu, Paul Simon, and Yann Vasnier, a FIFA Award-winning perfumer He has been invited on multiple occasions to speak at the prestigious TED X forum where he shared his methodologies of breaking biases that limit us with the help of brainwave technology He was named by CNN as one of the 10 most remarkable personalities of 2010 in the category of Multi-disciplinary art and has showcased his work in galleries and museums around the world He is actively involved in radical educational initiatives and aspires to establish efficient channels to circulate knowledge
 
He has lectured at New York University and several art institutions, including the New Hampshire Institute of Art, in the USA, and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, in France In 2007, he was invited as a guest of the city of Nîmes to exhibit his work at the Carre d' Art Musee d' Art Contemporain Raghava's performance art piece Anthropomorphism: When Paintings Dance premiered in California in 2005 through a grant from the American India Foundation His public art installations include a library for the Robin Hood Foundation in the Bronx, NY He has exhibited widely around the USA He has recently launched an iPad application to inspire early creativity in children
