Antao was born in 1966 in Mumbai He completed his Bachelors in Fine Arts from Sir JJ School of Applies Arts in 1991 His sculptures are massive charged with emotions His sculptures convey myriad human emotions with visual impacts He has received the Indian Habitat Award for the Best Solo Show in 2005, the Bendre-Husain Award in 1995 and the Bombay Art Society Award in 1993 He also received a silver medal for his artworks from the Government of Maharashtra His most recent exhibition was held at the Gallery Espace in 2010, New Delhi He has exhibited widely both in India as well as abroad
