Kuhu Plamondon is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice effortlessly bridges fine art, textile design, and fashion. She completed her BFA and later an MFA from the University of Dhaka. From the outset of her career, Plamondon has embraced experimentation, developing a visual language that transcends the conventional boundaries between art and design.

Her paintings are immediately recognisable for their vibrant palette, expressive compositions and recurring depictions of feminine figures interwoven with flora, fauna and symbolic motifs. While many Bangladeshi artists have traditionally drawn inspiration from the country's rural landscapes, Plamondon finds her muse in the energy of urban life. The bustling streets, architecture, lights and people of Dhaka become poetic subjects in her work, transformed through vivid colours and imaginative forms that celebrate the city's rhythm and vitality. Her works are rooted in personal experience and explore themes of identity, femininity, nature and the human condition.

Alongside her career as a painter, Plamondon has established herself as an innovative textile and fashion designer, extending her artistic vision into wearable art. Her hand-painted and hand-printed textiles reflect the same expressive sensibility found in her canvases, blurring the distinction between fine art and fashion. She has presented numerous solo and group exhibitions across Bangladesh and international destinations.
