Nabibakhsh Mansoori was born in 1966 in Idar, Gujarat He completed his Diploma in Fine Arts (Drawing & Painting) from Sheth C N College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad in 1990, followed by a Post-Diploma in Fine Arts (Creative Painting), from M S University, Baroda in 1992

Mansoori’s works from his early days were reflective of his life in the city However, he soon turned inward and found true inspiration in his childhood memories and experiences Mansoori loved to paint as a child He grew up in a village surrounded by rivers and farms and was fascinated by colours As a child, he would observe the natural world with fascination, painting and knitting stories of the world around him on his canvas

His images, often layered, are surrealist in nature and driven by multiple points of focus His works are designed to intentionally pull the viewer’s attention and draw them to a world that is private, elusive, colourful and vast Dramatic use of light, unconventional perspective and bold crisp colour are a hallmark of his paintings

Since 1992 Mansoori has held solo shows in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Idar, Surat and New Delhi He has participated in many group shows in India like, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Surat, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, in abroad like, London in 1999, 2002, 2005, in Dubai in 2003 In 2013 'Twilight' by Archer Art Gallery at Ahmedabad
