P S Jaya is an Indian contemporary artist whose paintings explore the emotional and symbolic relationship between human beings and the natural world. Primarily working in painting and drawing, she creates compositions that inhabit the space between memory and imagination, where figures, animals and landscapes merge into poetic narratives.

Jaya completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the RLV College, Thripunithura, Kochi. She later established a studio with her sister, the artist P S Jalaja, alongside her aunt and a fellow artist, fostering a collaborative creative environment. Her paintings reflect emotional states and her personal observations, inviting viewers to interpret the symbolic worlds she constructs. Nature serves as both subject and metaphor in her work, with recurring motifs of birds, trees and human figures expressing themes of belonging, transformation, solitude and resilience.

Beyond painting, Jaya has engaged with performance art, notably presenting a Women's Day work in which she painted her body black and wrapped herself in LED lights, using performance to reflect on gender, identity and social realities. Jaya's practice has received significant recognition through exhibitions, residencies and institutional support. Her works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across India and are held in several private collections.
