He was born in the year 1960 and he completed his Master's degree in sculpture from the College of Art, New Delhi, in 1988 He mostly does bronze sculptures which often evoke mythological birds of prey His stone sculptures exhibit a stylized primitive ape like mask and also speaks a lot in explaining that the artist is not apprehensive in experimenting with varied shapes and sizes Mann has held several solo and group shows of his work in India and internationally In 2005, he was awarded a two-year Senior Fellowship by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and in 2000, was honoured with the National Award from the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi The artist lives and works in New Delhi
