Praneet Soi born 1971 in Kolkata studied painting at the MSU in Baroda After graduating in 1990 he took a hiatus from studies and worked in the advertising sector in the capital On a scholarship he travelled to California to receive his second master’s degree in visual arts from the University of California Thereafter he had two residential stints the first at Skowhegan, Maine & Rijksakademie van beeldende Kunsten in HollandHe had a solo exhibition in Mumbai in 2015 and was one of four Indian artists to represent India at the Indian Pavilion in Venice in 2014
