Rajan Krishnan
(b1968) Rajan Krishnan was born in 1967, in the Thrissur district of Kerala Having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Krishnan decided to pursue his true calling and signed up for a BFA (Painting) at the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram He then went on to pursue a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts, MS University, Baroda Krishnan has been awarded the Kerala Lalit Kala Akademi Award (2001) He has had solo shows: "Little Black Drawings", at Kashi Art Gallery, Kochi (2004); and ENROUTE, Bombay Art Gallery (2006) He has participated in many group shows such as the ‘Miniature Format Show, Gallery Sans Tache, Mumbai (1998); Annual Show, Kerala Lalit Kala Akademi, Kochi (2001); Cross Currents, Daira Centre for Art & Culture, Hyderabad, (2002); Regional Centre, Chennai, (2003); Double Enders curated by Bose Krishnamachari at Jehangir Art Gallery & Museum Gallery, Mumbai, Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi, Gallery Sumukha, Bangalore and Durbar Hall Art Centre, Kochi (2005); and ‘A Compensation for what has been Lost’ curated by Johnny ML, Artconcernscom, (2006)
