Ritesh Ajmeri
Ritesh Ajmeri was born in Vadora, India in 1980 He completed his BFA in Sculpture from the MS U Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda in 2003 and his MFA in Sculpture from the same in 2005 Sculpture for him is a deeply rooted recognition between contemporary art practice and family job, which is about conflict and balance inside and outside of the artists’ time passages His works oscillate on the borders where media, objects and images are ceaselessly vulnerable to volatility He was awarded for Open space Bae, Busan, Korea in 2010 and INLAKS Foundation Scholarship for young artist in 2008 In 2009-10 he received the Asia Pacific fellowship, Artist in Residence, Goyang at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Korea He has conducted numerous talks around Korea He has held solo exhibitions including Lakeeren Gallery, Mumbai as well as numerous venues around Korea His group shows include ALERT Studio, Romania; Open Eye Dreams, Cochin; Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda and West Gallery, Manila Ritesh lives and works between India and South Korea
