He was born 1958 After he completed his post graduation in Bio Science, from Birla Institute of Science and Technology, Pilani, he followed it by a diploma in Business Management A self taught artist he left his successful career as a Bio Scientist to pursue his passion for art which seems given his upbringing amidst art and artists as the son of Late Master Jagdish Swaminnathan Harsha Vardhana paints on both paper and canvas in a clear abstract oeuvre Textured geometrical figures and inverted triangles are common in most of his works that suggest influence of tribal art and symbols that add a distinct appeal to the work The artist is the recipient of prestigious Raza Award and has held several solo and group shows besides his participation in Bharat Bhavan Biennial of Contemporary Indian Art at Bhopal, First Biennale of Conntemporary Art in Romania and several International artists camps including one on the occasion of the Indian Triennale at Garhi Studios in New Delhi The artist is actively involved in workshops in India and Abroad He lives in Delhi and works from his studio at home
