Dr Seema Sharma Shah received her doctorate in Printmaking form Banaras Hindu University She is the Chief of Department of Fine Arts, Tribhuvan University She has had 11 solo exhibitions to her credit, The Royal Overseas League, London organized by KCAC She has participated in numerous group shows and workshops She is regarded as one of the leading artists in the faculty of printmaking in Nepal, receiving the Merit Scholarship from the Faculty of Visual Arts, BHU and a Fellowship from the Indian Council of Historical Research She has won many titles including the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Award in 1990 and Best Exhibit Award, All India Exhibition of Arts, Amritsar in 1992
