T K Muraleedharan
T K Muraleedharan is an Indian artist born in 1972 in the village of Puzhakkattiri, near Perinthalmanna, in the Malappuram district of Kerala. He completed a three-year diploma course in fine arts at Universal Arts College, Kozhikode, in 1991, and initially painted on large commercial hoardings for a living.

He moved to Mumbai in 1994, where he lived and worked for over two decades. There, he began designing hand-painted work on garments — churidars, dupattas, sarees, and children's wear — before extending this practice onto canvas. This transition from cloth to canvas has shaped his visual language, drawing on the colour, pattern, and everyday texture of the city and its people. He has also written about his experience of the city; his poem "Everything in an Enamel Colour Film" was published in India Today magazine.

Muraleedharan has held several solo exhibitions in Mumbai, including FIX (2009) and a second solo show (2012), both at Jahangir Art Gallery, and Dry Depictions (2015), also at Jehangir Art Gallery. He has also shown at Machinoscapes (2013) at Durbar Hall, Ernakulam, Kerala. In 2021, his work was included in Lokame Tharavadu, one of India's largest contemporary art exhibitions, held in Alappuzha as part of the Kochi Biennale and curated by Bose Krishnamachari, featuring around 260 artists; his paintings on apparel, shoes, and other wearable objects drew particular attention there.

He continues to live and work in Mumbai.
