Born in the year 1975, Yuvan Bothysathuvar V, trained in art under J P Krishna He developed the skill to work with scale and painted 50 feet portrait billboards of Actors & Politicians After receiving his MFA in Fine Arts h travelled extensively He visited Dubai, France & Netherlands in order to observe the mannerisms & traditions of the people living there and implanted his visions into his current methodology of work and expression He is intrigued by the concept of duality and the notion of relative existence in singularity, therefore his works often dwell in the spectrum of visual illusion and colour shifting methods Multiplicity of planes that stack up memories to suit the artwork’s context is observed in Yuvan’s artworks which gives it a sense of balance and completeness Yuvan Bothysathuvar V received a Lalit Kala Akademi research scholarship in the year 2010 and also completed a one year artist residency program in Scotland in 2013 Scotland and Best College art Emerging Artist Award 2013 (residency in Scotland) His first solo exhibition took place in 2009 at Apparao Gallery, Chennai and also had a solo show at William Grand & Son Gallery, Scotland He has participated in numerous group shows in India and around the globe
