The VII Rajput Regiment was an infantry regiment of the British Indian Army. It was formed in 1922, after the government decided to reform the army moving away from the single battalion regiment to multi battalion regiment. After Independence it was allocated to the new Indian Army and was renamed the Rajput regiment. During British rule several members of Indian royal families were given commission in the Indian Army. This specific lot was made by the royal family for their prince who joined the regiment. 4 cm. in length and 18 grams in weight.:
