Robert Linzeler was a master silversmith working in Paris in the late 19th century. He was awarded a gold medal in the 1900 Exposition Universelle, Paris. It was due to his extraordinary workmanship and attention to detail that he succeeded Jules Piault, silversmith to Napoleon III, before forming a partnership with another French silversmith, Alexander Marchak in 1922.
