Of serpentine rectangular form, the top is finely inlaid with elaborate brass marquetry of scrolling arabesques, foliage, and strapwork in tortoiseshell, bordered with an ebonised edge. The frieze decorated with further intricate inlay and mounted with gilt bronze appliques is centred by a finely cast mask. The tabletop is raised on elegant cabriole legs similarly adorned with gilt bronze mounts.
