AstaGuru’s upcoming ‘Next Gen’ Contemporary Art Auction features significant works of eminent contemporary Indian artists. Lot no. 71: Untitled by Anish Kapoor

This fascinating creation by Anish Kapoor was executed in 2012, using stainless steel and resin. The work belongs to Kapoor’s vast oeuvre of mirror-like stainless steel discs that manipulate reflections, creating captivating distortions while providing a seamless view. The artist is well-known for his fabrication of rich colours infused with an unconventional medium to present his creative observations.
Lot no. 15: Untitled by Prithpal Singh Ladi

Ladi’s artistic expression often delves into the realm of the eccentric, imbued with a peculiar sense of humour. The presented sculptor executed in fibreglass, aluminium, rope, glass, wood, and paint effortlessly transitions between the mundane and fantastical or from the overt to the implied.
Lot no. 29: Stammer in The Shade – VIII by Atul Dodiya

The presented sculpture by Atul Dodiya was executed in 2005 utilising acrylic, marble dust, iron crutches, iron brackets, and gold leaf. His works are reminiscent of his vision of the socio-political climate in India. His works have greatly contributed to the cultural development of the country.
Lot no. 36: Girl With Balloons by Valay Shende

Executed using his signature materials, coated and painted stainless steel discs. Dodiya’s artistic vision is influenced by the everyday people of the country and their daily struggles. The presented lot is one such work, serving as an ode to children often seen selling ephemera, such as balloons in this instance on the road.
Lot no. 64. Tailor Ahmed 6th Main 36th Cross’ by Nataraj Sharma

Imbued with both wit and introspection, Nataraj Sharma's canvases delve into the ramifications of swiftly evolving urban landscapes. The artist effortlessly employs a complex interplay of visual elements born of memories, sweeping vistas, technology, intricate imagery, and the natural world. His works are simultaneously dramatic, contemplative, serene, and defiant.
