Bhawana Choudhary, born in 1972, is an Indian contemporary visual artist whose practice spans abstract and semi-abstract painting inspired by the natural world, inner psychological states, and quiet self-examination. Her canvases create spaces for reflection by uniting nature's transient beauty with human consciousness. Grounded in both Indian artistic traditions and contemporary sensibilities, her work explores balance, emotional clarity, and visual rhythm.

Bhawana Choudhary completed her postgraduate studies in Drawing and Painting at the Government Girls College (Nutan College) in Bhopal. Early in her career, she received the Junior Fellowship for Painting from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India, in 2000 and 2002. Over the years, her work has been recognized with multiple honors, including the State Award from the M.P. Kala Parishad sponsored by AIFACS, New Delhi, honorable mentions at Bharat Bhavan in Bhopal and the M.P. State Art Exhibition in Indore, and the SPAN Cover Art Contest award in 2010.

Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, Bhawana Choudhary employs layered applications of pigment to produce tactile surfaces that give physical weight and texture to her visual compositions. Her palette and fluid structures evoke atmospheric elements, water, vegetation, and earth, translating transient natural phenomena into lasting visual forms. By balancing abstract mark-making with subtle figurative undercurrents, her paintings evoke themes of serenity, introspection, and connection to the environment.
