Charmi Gada Shah (born 1980) is an Indian contemporary artist based in Mumbai, known for her sculptural and installation works that explore architecture, memory, urban transformation and the passage of time.

Born and raised in Mumbai, Charmi Gada Shah completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the L S Raheja School of Art, Mumbai, and her Postgraduate degree from Chelsea College of Art, London.

Her practice engages with the passage of time and the subsequent shifts that have occurred in the meaning and function of architecture. Employing different media, including drawing, sculpture, photography, film and architecture, she formulates a network of correlations that play on notions of memory, destruction and conservation. Her works often take the form of architectural sculptures, painstakingly created with construction debris, salvaged wood, concrete blocks, plaster and tiles from demolished buildings in her Mumbai neighbourhood.

In 2009 she received the Art India Promising Artist Award. In 2011 she was a joint recipient of the FICA Emerging Artist Award alongside Sujith SN. Her solo exhibition Neighbourhood Souvenirs was presented at Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi, in 2013 as part of the FICA Emerging Artist Award.

Her work has been included in significant group shows and international presentations, including The Staircase Project at Kashi Art Residency, Cochin (2008), Relative Visa at Bodhi Art Gallery, Mumbai (2009), Her Work is Never Done curated by Bose Krishnamachari (2010), Generation in Transition: New Art from India at the Zacheta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw (2011), Prague Biennale 5 India Pavilion curated by Kanchi Mehta (2011), and exhibitions at the Contemporary Art Centre, Vilnius, Lithuania (2011). Her installation Resilient - Resonances of a City was featured in the art walk at the T2 terminal of Mumbai International Airport, curated by Rajeev Sethi.
